During KOCO 5's On the Road series in 2006, Oklahoma astronaut Lt. Gen. Thomas Stafford gave us a tour of the Weatherford air and space museum named after him. Lt. Gen. Thomas Stafford, an Oklahoma native who commanded the Apollo 10 mission to the moon, died at the age of 93. His hometown of Weatherford, named the Stafford Air & Space Museum after him. The museum was built in 1993 and displays artifacts from Stafford's career as an Air Force pilot, NASA astronaut, and more. KOCO 5 went on the road to highlight different parts of Oklahoma in 2006, with Stafford giving a tour of the museum and telling stories about his mission.
