OKC library selected for program giving NASA subject matter, resources to heavy Latinx populations

The Oklahoma Capitol City library was selected for the program and will be available to share with children in both English and Spanish. Meanwhile, police are investigating an alleged assault on a person in a nearby neighborhood. No serious injuries were reported in the incident, but it is unclear if any arrests have been made.

POLICE TELL US INSIDE THAT HOME THEY FOUND A VICTIM WITH INJURIES CONSISTENT WITH AN ASSAULT. BUT THEY SAY THE SUSPECT RAN FROM THE SCENE BEFORE THEY GOT THERE. THEY’VE. ALSO TRIED TO REACH THE SUSPECT OVER THE PHONE, BUT SO FAR HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO. THIS IS HAPPENING NEAR NORTHEAST 32ND AND BRYANT. POLICE HAVE BEEN GOING DOOR TO DOOR THIS MORNING IN THEIR INVESTIGATION AFTER MOORE. POLICE SAY THEY ARRESTED TWO SUSPECTS OVERNIGHT. WE’RE WORKING TO GET MORE DETAILS ABOUT ITEMS THAT MAY HAVE BEEN TAKEN. OKLAHOMA CITY POLICE TELLING KOCO THAT THEY FOUND THE OTHER VEHICLE INVOLVED IN THAT HIT AND RUN. BUT RIGHT NOW, IT’S NOT CLEAR IF ANY ARRESTS HAVE BEEN MADE. THEY DO SAY THAT THERE WERE NO SERIOUS INJURIES IN THE CRASH, AND A PERSON STABBED AT AN APARTMENT COMPLEX IN SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA CITY. POLICE CALLED TO THE SCENE NEAR SOUTHWEST 27TH AND HARVEY THIS AROUND 1 A.M. WE KNOW ONE PERSON WENT TO THE HOSPITAL, BUT THEY ARE EXPECTED TO RECOVER AND WE DO EXPECT TO GET SOME MORE DETAILS FROM POLICE LATER TODAY. AND POLICE ARE BLAMING ROAD RAGE AFTER ONE PERSON WAS SHOT AND RUSHED TO THE HOSPITAL. THIS HAPPENED AROUND 730 LAST NIGHT IN EDMOND, NEAR 1/78 IN PORTLAND, OKC POLICE SAY IT STARTED AS A ROAD RAGE INCIDENT AND WE’RE TOLD THE SHOOTER AND VICTIM ACTUALLY KNEW EACH OTHER AND LIVE IN THE SAME NEIGHBORHOOD. POLICE SAY WHEN THEY GOT HOME, THEY GOT IN A FIGHT. AND THAT’S WHEN ONE NEIGHBOR SHOT THE OTHER. THE VICTIM WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL. FIRST RESPONDERS SAY THEY WERE ALERT AND TALKING. OFFICERS DETAINED THE SHOOTER, AND THEY’RE NOW BEING INTERVIEWED BY INVESTIGATORS AND POLICE RESPONDING TO A METRO HOME THAT WAS FIREBOMBED.
