Tulsa Police arrest a man accused of stealing copper wiring from power poles. Police said early Thursday morning, around 12:18 a.m., an officer saw a man knee Tulsa police have arrested William Lomon, a man accused of cutting copper wires from power poles. Lomon was found kneeling next to a power pole on 11th Street and Yale, cutting the copper guide wire and hiding more in a box in his shopping cart. He was arrested for stealing/removing copper wire and possessing stolen copper wire.

Police said early Thursday morning, around 12:18 a.m., an officer saw a man kneeling next to a power pole on 11th Street and Yale, actively cutting the copper guide wire.

The officer approached the man, identified as William Lomon, and saw more copper wire that was cut inside a box in Lomon's shopping cart.

Police said Lomon admitted to cutting copper wire from every third pole on 11th Street.

He was arrested for stealing/removing copper wire and possessing stolen copper wire.
