Annual Autism Safety Night to be held on April 2
World Autism Day is on Tuesday, April 2 and the Autism Foundation of Oklahoma has teamed with Moore Police Department for its 3rd annual Autism Safety Night. The Autism Foundation of Oklahoma is partnering with Moore Police Department for its 3rd annual Autism Safety Night on April 2. The event aims to engage in community engagement, share resources, and provide education on safety within the autism community and law enforcement. It will be open to families across the OKC Metro area and includes engaging activities and information provided for families and individuals affected by autism. Speakers will also be present, with a fun opportunity to explore emergency vehicles and meet with first responders. The location of the event will be located at the Moore Police department.

MOORE, Okla. (KFOR) — World Autism Day is on Tuesday, April 2 and the Autism Foundation of Oklahoma has teamed with Moore Police Department for its 3rd annual Autism Safety Night.
The event will work towards community engagement, sharing resources and provide education on how important it is to understand and give safety within the autism community and law enforcement.
“This event is an opportunity for attendees to come together, learn from one another, and build bridges,” said Emily Scott, Executive Director of the Autism Foundation of Oklahoma. “We’re honored to partner with the Moore Police Department again and look forward to making this Autism Safety Night our best one yet.”
Autism Safety Night is scheduled for April 2, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the Moore Police Department. It is open to families across the OKC Metro area and will be an opportunity to connect with others, including a night full of engaging activities and information provided for families and individuals that are affected by autism.
Inspirational speakers will be in attendance as well as voices from within the community to be heard and to tell their experiences firsthand.
A fun opportunity to explore emergency vehicles will also take place at the event and is welcome for all ages to learn more about the vehicles as well as a chance to meet with first responders.
The location of the event will be held at the Moore Police Department located at 117 E Main Street, Moore, OK 73160.
