Kevin Durant torches fan who asks him to leave Phoenix Suns for Oklahoma City Thunder

Kevin Durant was asked to leave the Phoenix Suns on social media, and return to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Durant did not appreciate the question. Kevin Durant, a fan who asked him to leave the Phoenix Suns for the Oklahoma City Thunder, has responded to the request via an X user, stating that he is not interested in the idea. The user suggested that returning to Oklahoma City and helping the Thunder win its first NBA championship, similar to what LeBron James did with the Cleveland Cavaliers, was the only way to redeem Durant's legacy. Durant responded by saying he was not god and ready to stay with Phoenix, despite averaging more blocks per game and more assists per game in Phoenix than he did in Oklahoma City. Despite this, Durant has not yet been back to the NBA Finals.

An X user reached out to Kevin Durant early Wednesday morning, asking him to leave the Phoenix Suns and return to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Of course, the Seattle Supersonics/Thunder was the franchise to draft him. The user said that returning to Oklahoma City and helping the Thunder win its first NBA championship, similar to what LeBron James did with the Cleveland Cavaliers, is "the only way KD can redeem his legacy'' and ''all his sins will be forgiven.''

Of course, "his sins" refer to leaving the Thunder for the Golden State Warriors during 2016's free agency, which some referred to as 'ring chasing.' He won two rings with the Warriors.

Since leaving Golden State, the two-time NBA Finals MVP forward has not yet been back to the NBA Finals. Regarding making that desired Finals run, Durant made it clear that he is not interested in the proposal to come back to Oklahoma City in his response to the post on X: "U ain't god. Go get ready for work,'' KD posted.

Evidently, Durant is not interested in this idea, and is ready to stick with Phoenix as he embarks on his second full season with the franchise coming up in October.

Durant has averaged more blocks per game (1.2) and more assists per game (4.9) in Phoenix than he did in Oklahoma City, as well as shooting at a higher clip from the field (52.7%) and from the three-point line (42.4% — career-high). Averaging 27.1 points per game this season (his most in a season where he played over 55 games in eight years), he was named second-team All-NBA.
