Grant Miller announcing he's not running for re-election

The councilor currently holds the seat in District 5. He said the decision is aimed to protect the privacy of his loved ones. Tulsa City Councilor Grant Miller has announced he will not run for re-election in the 2022 election. This decision comes after the Tulsa County DA dropped domestic charges against Miller after the alleged victim chose not to cooperate. The election for the district 5 seat is set for August 27th. Previous city councilor Karen Gilbert has filed for the seat.

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa City Councilor Grant Miller announced he is NOT running for re-election.

Miller, elected in 2022, won the seat after contested results that ended up in a recount.

In a post on his Facebook page Miller wrote:

The Tulsa County DA recently dropped domestic charges against Miller after the alleged victim chose not to cooperate.
